OUR FAMILIES
Our high quality 4-star centers serve the Qualla Boundary and the surrounding areas. We provide a welcoming environment that supports the inclusion of all families. Our families and our children are culturally and socio-economically diverse in a variety of family structures. We strive to keep our staff to child ratios below the licensure standards, which gives us the opportunity to welcome and support children with varying abilities and talents. We partner with community resources to provide supportive services in the classroom when needed.
We accept:
✔ NC Childcare Subsidy
✔ Tribal Subsidy
✔ Native American Block Grant
✔ Private Pay
OUR PROGRAM
The ingredients for a high-quality program include great teachers supported by quality instructional tools provided in a fun and safe environment.
A teacher’s education directly impacts children’s ability to grow and develop to their fullest potential. The North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education sets forth the education standards for teachers in the classroom. Our centers meet or exceed those standards across the board. In addition, we exceed the continuing education requirements for additional training. Much of our training occurs locally and is tailored to meet the needs of the children currently being served.
AgeLink Teachers use a research based Creative Curriculum to guide their teaching. This content-rich program is designed for children with diverse backgrounds and skill levels. The program fosters opportunities for children to participate in hands-on exploration and discovery that help build lifelong critical thinking skills and foster confidence.
Our program is designed to encourage family participation and volunteerism throughout our centers. There are many ways in which you can make a positive impact on the life of a child.
With the weather permitting, we enjoy outside play every day.
Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack are served each day.
