Creative Curriculum

The Creative Curriculum is the main tool that our teachers use in the classroom. This program is beneficial because it features exploration and discovery as a way of learning. Teachers can plan and manage every moment with hand-on studies and project investigations.

LAP D screening is used to fine tune our classrooms to identify any areas that may be lacking. This system can identify what changes need to be made to best meet the needs of the children in each age group.

Program Essentials

In addition to the Creative Curriculum, Agelink participates in the NCDHHS Child and Adult Care Food Program and offers assessments for eligibility for the Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) Block Grant.

Our Staff

The Lead Teachers in our classrooms have their NC Child Care Credentials I & II, and have or are working toward NC Childcare Administration I & II. Lead Teachers are expected to continue their education toward an AA in Early Childhood Education. They are also required to complete 10 training hours every year in subject pertaining to childcare. Their Assistant Teachers are credentialed with the expectation that they will continue their education and complete 10 hours of other training.

Teachers Aides are required to begin coursework toward the NC Child Care Credentials within 6 months of hire. All staff are trained in CPR and First Aid.

There is nothing like seeing a child smile and express feelings of happiness.  It is exciting to see children playing, learning and interacting with one another.
