MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER:
With the Christmas holiday fast approaching I wanted to take the time to say thank you. The hard work and dedication shown to me by each employee over the last few months has been overwhelming. I want you all to know how much I appreciate you and all that you do for the Cherokee Boys Club. Please continue to remember that we are here for the betterment of the Boys Club and the community. With that being said, your personalized Cherokee Boys Club jackets have been ordered and should be delivered by the Christmas holiday. NOTE FROM COMMUNITY HEALTH:
As of January 1, 2019, Community Health will no longer be doing routine screenings at our agency. If you would like to schedule a screening for your staff or clients, they will be happy to arrange it on an individual basis.
MESSAGE FROM ADMINISTRATION:
We do apologize for the error made with the payroll direct deposits. While we do not anticipate this occurring again, should it happen, communication will be sent out in a timelier manner. If at any time you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office at 828-497-9101.
MESSAGE FROM HUMAN RESOURCES
� Any address or tax withholding changes need to be made by December 28th. This will ensure that your W-2 is mailed to the correct address once it is sent out in January.
� New Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance cards will be mailed out the 1st or 2nd week of January.
� You will not receive a Community Eye Care card. If you need a copy of yours, please see Tiffani Reed.
RANDOM DRUG TESTING PSA:
Section IX: Drug and Alcohol Policy: E.2.a. Random Testing:
�All employees of the Club will be subject to random testing for alcohol, non-prescribed drugs, or controlled substance abuse. Random testing will be done on a percentage basis in a fair and equal manner. Test results indicating that an employee has alcohol, illegal drugs or non-prescribed drugs in his/her system will be verified by further tests on the original samples taken. Verified positive results will result in immediate termination.�
Section IX: Drug and Alcohol Policy: E.2. Employees: Random, Reasonable Cause, and Post Accident Testing
�Any employee that refuses to submit to a controlled substance screening will be terminated from employment. Refusal can include an inability to provide a sufficient specimen or breath sample without a valid medical explanation, as well as verbal declaration, obstructive behavior, or physical absence resulting in the inability to conduct the test.�

Please remember the Boys Club�s Shop/Fuel Department for your heating fuel needs! Contact Thomas Smith at 359-5590 or Colene Ross at 359-5592 to schedule a delivery. Ask about payroll deduction if you are a Boys Club or School employee (certain rules do apply)!
